Cosplaying: Aburame Shino @ ACGC 2009

So… yeap! I know I had been MISSING for quite some time, but hey, I was busy ohkay… like.. for real. =P

Not like the other times I was missing I wasn’t really busy… just that, this time its REALLY REALLY busy. XD

Anyway… just some updates on myself before I move into the main business…

My PSY203 Child Development Psychology’s Midterm was quite astonishing, even to myself. I scored a 79/100, landing me second highest in class. But my PSY204 Adolescent Development Psychology was quite disappointing… only a 32/45… but there is another 55 marks more from Essay (which will be given back to us next week!) So I’m hoping to score high for that… hopefully. In addition, I’m involved in a FrequenC Concert that’s coming up on the 6th of April, 2009 in HELP University College! A detailed post will come very, very soon ^^ & also, I’m involved in a very large scale event as well! Looking forward to it! Will tell you guys more when it’s established! ^^

Anyway, Earth Hour 2009 just went by and well, nothing special. Moving on to the main dish for today!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ACGC 2009 was at 21st and 22nd March, 2009. I only went for the 21st, & I cosplayed as Shino. The whole day was fun and it was really cool to cosplay with a large group of people! Met alot of people on that day as well, new friends, old friends and many many cool people! ^^ (& weird people XD)
I finally understand how cosplayers felt when they get snapshot-ted by ALOT of people… maintaining the same pose for minutes. It is really tiring… XD But I somehow like the feel of being photographed while posing =) Especially we’re like a big, huge Naruto cosplayers group. ^^ Not to mention there are some who tooks loads of pictures with us or of us on that day itself, some of them even got some of their own FANS =P
Anyway, here, I wanna ask if ANYONE took a picture of me during ACGC 2009, could you all send me the pictures please?? Whether its our group picture or my solo picture~ pwetty pwetty please? ^^ I thank you all for taking my pictures and (if you are sending them to me) sending me my pictures =) My email is on the side bar but just in case,  vin_yungchien@hotmail.com =)
I cosplayed Aburame Shino from Naruto.
And Here We Go =)
The Shino Moment where I just stand there…. like that.
Aburame Shino’s ability: Kikaichuu
Naruto-kun couldn’t recognize me… He recognized everyone else in one look…
Posing for the crowd to snap photos of us!
The full cast that was present on that day! ^^
Standing L>R: Tenten, Gaara, Shino, Yamato, Lee
It was a fun day!
Cutie-pie as Sakura: You were a great Sakura! Good costume! =D
Bellenym as Shizune: Someone told me you look quite Shizune-ish! ^^
Aleanor as Tsunade: Great work! Get a slug maybe =P
That’s all for today! ^^
A Tour with Japanese Students
Pardon My Major Hiatus
But my busyness is SLIGHTLY beyond comparison.
I couldn’t bring myself to go and watermark my photos…
I wouldn’t use the photos if they aren’t watermarked…
and I won’t blog without photos.
So.. yeah, you get the picture =P
Alrite, before I go into the topic in accordance to the title, I just wanna express my happiness… seeing how long I didn’t blog, I think I should give you guys a slight update on how is my life now =P Hahaha~!
PSY 208 Biopsychology’s Midterm results are out today!! I was so freaking afraid and worried kayz, cuz the tutor and the lecturer told us that more than half of the class failed and that not many did very well. I was damn scared. Finally today is the day the results were posted online. I checked it and I was totally overwhelmed! A great 26.40/30%. Out of 100 MCQs I got about 88 correct, landing me second highest in class. As usual, I’m guessing the 92/100 (27.6) would be Elaine. Hahaha =P But I’m damn satisfied dy. More motivation for me to ganbatte and keep it up with my university works =P
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yeap! And now lets go into some description of the tour guiding ^^

There were about 20 groups of 4-6 students from Japan’s Osaka High School, on a foreign-exchange program over here in Malaysia. Our job is to guide them through KL and as a Malaysian student, able to have some social-exchange with them. They were pre-briefed by their teachers about the different functions of different locations (e.g. Aquaria, KL Tower, Petaling Street, Times Square, etc.). They then chose their own location that they wanna go to. My group, Group 6, wanted to visit Times Square and Petaling Street.

They were suppose to arrive at KLCC by 2.30pm, but instead reached at 3pm. Ahhh, and we have to come back to this departure location by 7.50pm. We wouldn’t have enough time to visit EVERYTHING (especially those who had more locations to visit). Me and my group arrived at Times Square at about 3.40pm. It was later than the originally scheduled time, but we had some fun in TS. I took them around, eating ice kacang and bringing them to IT stores and accessory stores (as requested by them). Each of them bought two watches each, RM10 per watch, one bought a ‘couple-handphone’ accessory and one bought a wallet.

After that, we were slightly late to reach Pasar Seni LRT station, at about 6.05pm. However, it was raining very very heavily, even the idiom of “cats and dogs” is not enough to describe em… It was… “raining dragons and phoenixes”… or something. We couldn’t cross the road to go to Petaling Street. So I asked them if they wanna go over under the rain (cuz we all don’t have umbrellas), or should be take a stroll in KLCC instead? I warned them about the dangerousness of the road, cuz it was a really heavy rain, floor’s flooded and the cars are still driving by. They agreed to walk around KLCC instead, and my gawd, they bought like at least 2 boxes of chocolates each, one even got FOUR and one bought pineapple tarts! My group of people really came empty-handed and go fully-equipped. XD

After that, we had dinner at the food court of KLCC. Three of them ordered some Herbal Mihun Soup, one ordered Penang Fried Rice while the other ordered Penang Har Mee (Prawn Mee). It seems to me that the one eating the prawn mee thinks that its awfully spicy… awfully awfully spicy. XD Hahaha, I even had to ask him whether he is fine =P But I believe those are good Malaysia experiences ^^ Here’s the funny part, the time of my phone ain’t 7.50pm yet, but I receive a call asking me to get back ASAP cuz its 7.55pm dy. BUT, two of my ‘tour-ees’ ordered Waffles and they just came! They were rushing like OMG! I have to apologize to them for my time management T.T But I still AM gonna blame my clock =P

So yeah, all in all, I love my tourguiding job and I like my first experience tour guiding the japanese students, they are all very very fun people! And I believe in that tour, they had experienced a HUUUGEEE portion of Malaysians’ life. Such as LRT, weather, public transport, traffic and shopping complexes =P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On to the pictures!
This is Xiao Yen and me before we departed for KLCC to meet the Japanese students ^^
Daisuke-san is a very thin guy. He is very funny. When I asked them what do they want to eat for dinner, another guy said, “Yakiniku” (Burnt/Roasted meats). He then looked at me and pointed at that guy, saying, “He is Crazy”. hahaha! We all were laughing in the LRT and everyone was looking at us. XD
Keiha-san seems to have a good body figure and is very curious about things. He asked me which cookies are famous and he bought pineapples tarts AND chocolates. He was the one who bought the ‘couple-handphone’ accessory, too. ^^
Keita-san is the tallest among all. He is very quiet and talks very little. He is the guy who bought a wallet from Times Squares, and I think he loves accessories, like bracelets and rings, etc. He is almost always last to enter the LRT. XD
Ken-san is the leader of Group 6. He can speak more English than the rest, and acts as a translator to us all, even though I can speak a little Japanese. He and I had emailed each other several times =) Probably due to language barrier, messages from the others are conveyed through his emails, as well. =)
Shouichi-san is the shortest of the group, and probably the loudest. He is also the one who responded with Yakiniku when I asked what to eat for dinner. Besides that, he is also the one who bought FOUR boxes of chocolates. XD
A group picture! Actually we took one BEFORE we went for the tour, but its with their camera =P
Extra note: They are all 17 year-old and don’t know other languages (except Ken-san). And, they are all runners! =P So damn cool ^^
IF you are wondering how we communicated, I used Japanese to ASK, while Ken-san used English to ANSWER. =) Due to the fact that only I know Japanese Language among thetour guides, I think I had the most fun and conversation with my tour-ees! ^^ I think I RAWKED =P
So that’s all for the post today. I’m exhausted. I have decided to not just blog about anything under the sun (or that I have pictures on). Instead, I’m just gonna blog about things I wanna blog. =)
Genting CNY | Visiting 2009
Last Thursday, a few of us went up to Genting to play! =P Hui-xin had free accomodation so we were invited up to just hang out, chit chat, play games there! =P After some card games, we had lunch, and decided that its time we go up top.
We took the cable car up and… gosh, after so long I took this thing (about… 10 years ago or so), I’m SO Afraid of it, for some wacko reasons. But it was fine lah, we got up and wanted to invade the Casino. But we failed. I’m only 7 more months to 21 lo… I think we flunked cuz of Eric.. hahaha.. nolah… Well… oh well =)
We just wanted to look around the insides loh~ =P Don’t worry, we’re not gamblers =P Oh well, we went around taking pictures (but these pictures are with Hui-xin, will grab them ASAP) and eating some cheap fried foods. I mean, up in Genting, nothing is CHEAP lah… but these are nice to eat and not SO expensive =P
After some time, we took the Cable Car down again and it’s HORRIBLE. While accelerating, the cable car came to a sudden STOP and the whole Gondola was SWINGING AND SWAYING (most probably due to inertia). I mean, it stopped WHILE accelerating, it was SO FREAKY….. Then when it resumed, and was going to reach the other side, it STOPPED AGAIN! Luckily this time it had slowed down and so there was less inertia and swinging. But seriously, the first one was SCARY!
AHHH, finally we reached the land. Erm… “Land”, lolx! We head towards Gohtong Jaya to get some foods (tapao!) and ate at Awana (where we stayed). It was fun! We took a stroll in the night and had a game of pool! We won! Well, my team consists of Me, Hui-xin, Kenseng VS. Eric, David, Pohching. =)
After a while, Eric drove us down (oh, did I mention, he drove us up!). THANKS ERIC! =) PohChing kept insisting on telling a horror story, which i insisted that I don’t wanna listen. Blek! Ask me why on msn if you wanna know. LOLX =P After we arrived at KL, we dropped PohChing off and picked up KhengXiong for a game of DotA!
**********
Something happened during that time, and well, I’m unhappy and slightly angry lah. But I know I’m at fault as well. Here, I’ll just say Sorry to you, you know who you are. IF you are reading my blog, I sincerely apologize and will not do those things anymore. Well, I did say before it was hard for me to feel not angry at you for what happened that night, but well, I just felt.. not angry lah =)
**********
Ohkay, on to pictures ^^ Took em while lining up to get on the Gondola (aka, Cable Car).
I dunno what to say about this picture XD
PohChing commented on Facebook: I can’t decided whether this is cute or obscene
I replied: I’m cute, he’s obscene. Decided
XD
I love this picture ^^
NEXT!
A couple of us went Visiting!! It was kinda like visiting + let David enjoy himself before flying back to India day! =P hahaha
We only took pictures while at WeiXiong’s place =P
Our Journey was: Curve > One U > Wei Xiong > Ken Seng > T-Bun
Ohkaylah, not that bad :P We were at Curve cuz wanted to sing K at Red Box, but it was rather expensive lo…
Then we wanted to go Neway (which I predicted would still be expensive) and finally, we didn’t sing K =P Instead, we went to Yoshinoya to dine! Lunch was delicious there! =P On the journey to One U, Hui-xin commented on my driving, once again.
She said, “If I died because of yungchien’s vanity ah, I’ve really got nothing to say…”
LOLX, the story was, that I was driving… then I saw that there was like no car in front of the car in front of MY car. So I took a look on the rear-view mirror to check on my hair, and when I look back in about 2 seconds, I notice the car in front of me sudden braked… so I braked too. But huixin was already grabbing tight onto the seatbelt… XD The car braked without any obstacle in front of him… So I’m damn puzzled. Oh well =)
To Hui-xin: You are safe in my car. =P hahaha ^^
Then we went to have some L4D and Red Alert games at Tbun =P Hahaha ^^
Anyway, here goes the pictures =) (some are still with weixiong)
This is Weixiong’s GF. Not mine, we coincidentally wore the same color =)
That’s all for today! =)
Happy Chinese New Year to all of you!
And Happy Birthday! Because today is 7th of the First Month on the Chinese Calender! =)
It’s the “Human Day”, so it is EVERYONE’S BIRTHDAY ^^
Up To Now~
Minor Update about Myself:
I have been losing weight in the past 3 weeks… which I deem as DRASTIC. I lost 9kg in 3 weeks wei!
I did NOT skip meals
I did NOT work out
I did NOT take medications
I am NOT stressed
On the Other Hand
I merely ate more vegetables, less meat, less rice and try not to over-bloat myself
I merely danced a LITTLE bit more
I merely did a little exercise by taking stairs up and down instead of using the lift to get to my parking lot (only around 3 levels, 3 sets of stairs; if I go G floor, at most 6 levels)
But my weight went down from 90kg to 81kg. Hmmm, I think its abit too drastic, not? Of course I’d hope to slim down, but not in a bad manner… Hopefully my weight loss is going down healthily and stops at 75kg, which is where I deem as.. appropriate for me~ =)
——————————-
Alright! Its finally down to this! I have three more things to update about and I will FINALLY catch up to whatever is the latest! =P
First would be my the first meeting of my semester in 2009 - PSG Committee Meeting. It was to set the agenda for the remaining of the semester, what we gonna do, what we have to do, when we do it and how we do it, etc. But you see, I saw Evie’s shades on the table and I just had to do this.
To Camwhore with it. It is pretty nice, the shades are for girls, though. XD
Meanwhile, SekHee decided to take a picture with me~! I think I look kinda good here =P
*tak malu, self-praise*
NEXT!
I’m going to show you guys two of the three new top I bought for CNY! Firstly, is my longsleeve!
I will ALWAYS buy a longsleeve every year, cuz I personally love long sleeves. I was quite frustrated cuz I couldn’t find any long sleeve to my liking, while I was on the CNY Shopping Spree with JingGuo at Sunway Pyramid. When I stepped into PARKSON (or was it JUSCO) of Pyramid, I saw this wonderful colored (or so I think) long sleeve t-shirt there! Immediately I tried it on, loved it and bought it! =P
But that’s not all. My color theme of last year was PURPLE, so you might have seen me in purple for a bit. But this year, I decided to go Blue and Green. My long sleeve is blue, and for my short sleeve t-shirt….
Got it from Hang Ten. They sell pretty decent clothes there. And kinda cheap, too!
Well, in the end I bought 3 top, 2 jeans, 1 cargo pants, a pair of canvas shoes and a vest. My CNY Shopping is COMPLETE! =)
NEXT!
A week ago, Chinese Cultural Society of HELP University College had organized a 新春晚会, which can be literally translated into “New Spring Night Party”, but I’m just gonna call it Pre-CNY Party. Mia, Shuling and I were invited to perform for the party…
If anyone of you began thinking that I was gonna dance… you’re WRONG! XD Well… we sang. And for those who just exclaimed in your mind/brain/soul/out loud: yungchien SINGS? The answer is: Yes, I SING. =P I probably just don’t sing GOOD. =P
Anyway, we performed two songs, one is 梁静茹 - 小手拉大手 Jasmine Leong’s “Small Hand Pull Big Hand” (literally translated) and the other one is 小虎队 - 新年快乐 Xiao Hu Dui’s “Happy New Year”. We screwed up big time for the first song XD Shuling and I forgotten lyrics, and I went out of tune at one part of the song, I deem that as HORRENDOUS. But well, I think major problem is me lah… I’m not good at it XD
The second song was nice. The people like the second one better, too, cuz it sounded better than the first (that’s what they said). So yea, it was after all a good experience! =P We were supposed to perform three songs, with the third song being a closing ceremony song, My Astro群星合唱 - 庆祝 MyAstro Allstars “Celebrate”. But due to some problem and mistakes on the DJ’s part, it was cancelled. Oh well~ =P
The best performance of the night was DEFINITELY the Chinese Yoyo 扯铃. It was SO COOL! Out of the 11 performers, only 3 of them are professionals (students who practice the chinese yoyo at national level), while the others only had slightly more than a week to practice them for the performance! They all did well!!! The National Players manage to make our mouths open wide with they magnificent performance! It was marvelous! =)
Alright! Now that the story is over, lets go over the pictures!
Shuling and I posing~
Dunno wat’s VJM? Keep on Reading =P
I actually look slightly thinner in this picture =P
VJM : Vin, Jungle, Mia!
Don’t doubt. Jungle is the nickname for Shu Ling =P
In Mandarin, the word for jungle has almost the same pronunciation with shuling.
Camwhoring while eating! =P
If you realized, I didn’t put @elsoravia in my pictures as watermark! This is because I got LAZY *blek!* & I just wanna make it simple =P
And that’s all! I finally blogged ALL my “overdues”!!! =P I’m so glad! More updates as I go!!
Though, I might have posts without pictures, which deviates from my usual doings =P
But I’m sure once in a while, you wanna come in my blog seeing not pictures…. for abit, right? =P
Ok… maybe I’m wrong XD
